Thomas is a decorated drummer, bassist, composer, artist, and bandleader whose career spans more than three decades at the highest levels of the music industry. With a foundation rooted in Gospel and the Black church, Thomas has evolved into a global musical voice, blending jazz, soul, gospel, and world influences with a singular touch on the bass.

As both a sideman and musical director, Thomas has toured and recorded with some of the most celebrated names in music, including Stephanie Mills, Vivian Green, Fred Hammond, Erykah Badu, CeCe Winans, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Jill Scott, Estelle, Keshia Cole, Harvey Mason, and Kirk Franklin. His recording credits appear on Grammy-nominated, Stellar, and Dove Award-winning projects alongside Jeff Bradshaw, Angie Stone, Brian Courtney Wilson, Donnie McClurkin, Anthony Brown, Steven Hurd, Jonathan Nelson, Jason Nelson, Myron Butler, and Dorinda Clark-Cole.
